  • August 9, 2025 (Saturday): Raksha Bandhan/Jhulana Purnima will be celebrated in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh. Banks are closed on the second Saturday of the month.
  • August 10, 2025 (Sunday): Weekly off.
  • August 13, 2025 (Wednesday): Patriot's Day will be observed in Manipur.
  • August 15, 2025 (Friday): Independence Day will be observed across India.
  • August 19, 2025 (Tuesday): Birthday of Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur will be observed in Manipur.
  • August 24, 2025 (Sunday): Weekly off.
  • August 25, 2025 (Monday): Tirubhav Tithi of Srimanta Sankardeva will be observed in Guwahati.
  • August 27, 2025 (Wednesday): Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Bangalore, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Goa and Andhra Pradesh.
  • August 28, 2025 (Thursday): Ganesh Chaturthi (2nd Day)/Nuakhai will be observed in Odisha and Goa.

In the UK, the Summer Bank Holiday will be observed on August 25, 2025, in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. In Scotland, this holiday will be observed earlier on August 4.

It is important to note that these holidays may vary from state to state and it is advisable to check with your local bank branch for confirmation. Banks also remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month as per the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulations.
