The world of OTT is buzzing with exciting new releases this week, offering a diverse range of content to suit every taste. From heartwarming dramas to thrilling mysteries, here's a rundown of some must-watch titles hitting streaming platforms.

Sitaare Zameen Par

Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par made its way to YouTube on August 1st. This sports drama, directed by R.S. Prasanna, is considered a spiritual successor to Khan's earlier film, Taare Zameen Par. Sitaare Zameen Par follows Gulshan Arora, a basketball coach, who, after an incident, is sentenced to community service. He is assigned to train a team of neurodivergent adults. Initially prejudiced, he eventually learns valuable lessons from the team. The film is available on YouTube for ₹100.

The film had a theatrical release on June 20, 2025, and has reportedly earned ₹267 crores globally. The film is a remake of the 2018 Spanish film Champions. Khan has stated that he chose the YouTube release to make the film accessible to a wider audience, even if it meant foregoing larger sums from traditional OTT platforms.

Wednesday Season 2

The highly anticipated Wednesday Season 2 is set to premiere on Netflix in two parts. The first four episodes will be available on August 6, 2025, with the remaining four episodes dropping on September 3, 2025.

The showrunners, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, are returning for the second season, along with executive producer Tim Burton. Jenna Ortega reprises her role as Wednesday Addams, and the season promises a darker and more intricate storyline. New cast members, including Billie Piper, Joanna Lumley, and Steve Buscemi, are also expected to join.

Season 2 will see Wednesday back at Nevermore Academy, confronting new threats and unraveling secrets, testing her friendships and family bonds. A trailer for the season was released on July 9, and the first six minutes of the premiere episode were previewed at Netflix Tudum 2025.
