"Wednesday" Season 2 (Netflix)

The hit Netflix series "Wednesday," a supernatural mystery TV show based on "The Addams Family" franchise, is set to premiere its second season in two parts, with the first four episodes arriving on August 6, 2025. The remaining four episodes will be released on September 3, 2025. Fans can expect more of Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams as she navigates Nevermore Academy and confronts new mysteries. The new season will see Wednesday fighting to save her best friend’s life. New cast members include Joanna Lumley, Billie Piper, and Steve Buscemi. "Param Sundari" (Theatrical Release)

"Param Sundari," a Hindi-language romantic comedy film, is scheduled to release in theaters on August 29, 2025. Directed by Tushar Jalota and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, the movie stars Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles. The film is a cross-cultural love story set against the backdrop of Kerala, promising a blend of laughter, chaos, and unexpected twists. The film centers on a love story between a North Indian played by Sidharth and a South Indian girl played by Janhvi. The title of the film is inspired by the song of the same name by A. R. Rahman from the movie Mimi.

Other Notable OTT Releases

Several other projects are also slated for release in August 2025. "Housefull 5," the latest installment in the comedy franchise, will be available on Amazon Prime Video on August 1, 2025. The movie features Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and Riteish Deshmukh. "Kaun Banega Crorepati 17," hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, will also be released in August. "Salakaar," a spy thriller directed by Faruk Kabir, is set to release on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium on August 8, 2025. The film is presented in two timelines, 1987 and 2025, focusing on nuclear war. "Arabia Kadali," a survival drama, will be released on Amazon Prime Video on August 8, 2025.
