Kiara Advani's dedication to her role in the upcoming action-thriller War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, extends beyond her performance, showcasing a remarkable physical transformation that has captivated fans and industry insiders alike. As she balances her new role as a mother with her cinematic commitments, Advani's fitness journey highlights a holistic approach that prioritizes sustainable wellness over quick fixes.

Advani's stunning transformation for War 2 involved a meticulously planned diet focusing on lean muscle gain and fat loss. Celebrity nutritionist Nicole Linhares Kedia emphasized a desi-friendly approach, incorporating protein pancakes, grilled chicken, and sattu chaas. Kedia shared that Advani already had fairly clean eating habits and loved ghar ka khana (home-cooked food). However, for War 2, the focus shifted to recalibrating her macronutrients, particularly increasing protein consumption while carefully managing a calorie deficit.

A Day of Delicious Discipline

Despite an intense schedule filled with demanding training sessions and extended shooting hours, Advani didn't compromise on her morning routine. Her day typically began with a high-protein breakfast which was a staple of pancakes made with oat flour, walnut flour, and protein powder. These were finished off with natural sweeteners like monk fruit extract or maple syrup and fresh toppings such as berries and homemade hazelnut butter. This hearty, nutrient-dense meal helped sustain her energy levels throughout the day, satisfying her hunger while staying in sync with her body transformation goals.

For lunch and dinner, Advani enjoyed meals that were both flavorful and nourishing. These often featured lean proteins like grilled chicken or light chicken curry, paired with an assortment of fiber- and vitamin-rich vegetables such as asparagus and baby potatoes. Avocado, vegetable crudités, and innovative sides like edamame pesto hummus added variety. According to Kedia, the meals were tailored based on Advani's physical output each day, offering fuel without weighing her down. The menu avoided excessive fats or processed foods, instead leaning into vibrant, flavorful ingredients that kept her energized and sharp.

The Desi Secret Weapon

After a sweaty gym session, Advani turned to the humble sattu chaas, a cooling drink made from roasted Bengal gram flour, cumin, and coriander. Kedia called it the "perfect natural rehydrator" and a clever and nutritious nod to her Indian roots. This age-old drink helped her refuel while keeping bloating at bay.

Precision and Planning

Kedia emphasized that every single ingredient was monitored, from the quantity of cooking oil to even the smallest garnish. The biggest change was dialing in her macros, specifically increasing her protein intake while keeping her in a steady caloric deficit. Their goal was to tone and build lean muscle while reducing body fat, and that meant every ingredient had to be measured, even down to the oil used in cooking or a few shavings of Parmesan on her Buddha bowl. The idea wasn't to cut out foods Advani loved but to optimize every meal so it helped her build lean muscle and reduce body fat. While shooting in Tuscany and Rome, Kedia coordinated with the local chefs every night after dinner to plan the next day's meals.

In addition to diet, Advani also focused on setting a circadian rhythm, ensuring she got adequate rest, which in turn allowed her metabolism, mood, and energy to stay regulated. With her demanding shoot schedule and training simultaneously, her body needed recovery, and building a strong sleep-wake routine helped optimize everything else. She was in bed by 8 pm, showcasing her dedication and discipline.

Kiara Advani's transformation for War 2 showcases that achieving a desired physique is not about extreme measures but about sustainable habits, mindful eating, and a deep connection to one's roots.
