The debut film of Ahaan Panday, Saiyaara, continues its successful run, achieving a global box office collection of ₹500 crore. This romantic drama, directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Yash Raj Films (YRF), stars Panday alongside Aneet Padda.
A recent buzz surrounds Ahaan Panday as he was spotted by paparazzi. In a video circulating online, Ahaan is seen pulling down his mask to greet the photographers. This gesture comes amidst the ongoing success of Saiyaara, where he plays Krish Kapoor, an egotistical musician who finds love with Vaani Batra, a shy poet.
Saiyaara has become the second Indian film in 2025 to cross the ₹500 crore mark worldwide, following Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava. YRF shared that Saiyaara has grossed ₹507 crore globally in 18 days. According to Sacnilk, the movie has earned ₹302.25 crore in India after 18 days. The film's team reports that Saiyaara made ₹308 crore net and ₹376 crore gross in India in 18 days. With ₹131 crore from overseas, the total worldwide collection stands at ₹507 crore.
Akshaye Widhani, CEO of YRF, expressed his gratitude for the audience's support, acknowledging young viewers for embracing the film. Saiyaara's success has surpassed the lifetime collections of War (₹471 crore) and Dunki (₹454 crore).
Mohit Suri, the director, initially found Ahaan "too well-mannered" for the role but later discovered the "brash, ill-mannered, good-hearted guy" during an evening outing. Suri jokingly called Panday a "fraud" after the actor shared old audition videos.
Ranbir Kapoor was also seen asking paparazzi if they had watched Saiyaara. Alia Bhatt also watched the movie in the theatre.
Ahaan Panday is reportedly in talks for an action drama with a streaming platform and a bilingual project. Meanwhile, Aneet Padda is set to appear in a legal drama series titled Nyaya and is being considered for roles in a period film and a female-led urban thriller.
Rumors of a breakup between Ahaan Panday and Shruti Chauhan have surfaced after they unfollowed each other on Instagram.
