In Bilston, near Wolverhampton, England, six men have been arrested following an armed attack that left three people wounded and a vehicle damaged. The incident occurred on Arbour Drive, where police responded to reports of a fight involving several individuals and bladed weapons.
Four of the arrested men are of Indian-origin. They have been identified as Hardeep Singh, 28, of Hounslow; Harpeet Singh, 25, of Leicester; Mukesh Kumar, 30, of Wolverhampton; and Lakwinder Singh, 26, of Smethwick. All four were remanded in custody and appeared before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Monday. The remaining two individuals were released on bail as the investigation continues.
Detective Inspector Adam Keen of Wolverhampton police stated that multiple teams collaborated to make quick arrests. He added that the investigation is progressing rapidly to determine the exact sequence of events. Keen reassured the public that authorities believe this was a targeted attack.
A video taken at the scene depicts six masked men, dressed in black hoodies, brandishing weapons around a white car. The group allegedly forced open two of the car's doors, vandalized the vehicle, and dragged a man onto the ground while continuing their assault. Police later recovered a gun from the scene.
Three men were hospitalized with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries. The motive for the attack is still under investigation.
