In a chilling case that has emerged from Jaipur, a woman, her lover, and his friend have been apprehended by the police for allegedly murdering her husband. The crime, seemingly inspired by the popular crime television show 'CID' and web series, involved a meticulously planned plot to eliminate the victim, Manoj Kumar Raigar, 35.

The investigation was initiated after Raigar's body was discovered near a football ground in Jaipur earlier this month. The victim's throat had been slit with a sharp weapon. Initially, the police faced challenges due to the absence of eyewitnesses or CCTV cameras in the immediate vicinity. However, investigators turned to technical surveillance and CCTV footage from nearby routes to track down the suspects.

Ultimately, the police investigation led them to the victim's wife, Santosh, her lover, Rishi Srivastava, and his friend, Mohit Sharma. Santosh allegedly conspired with Srivastava and Sharma to murder her husband, claiming that he suspected her of having an affair and frequently assaulted her.

During interrogation, Santosh confessed that she had gleaned ideas from web series and the television show 'CID' to plan the murder. The trio reportedly used new SIM cards to communicate with each other in an attempt to evade detection. A crucial breakthrough occurred when police noticed another person sitting beside Raigar in an e-rickshaw captured on CCTV footage. This clue enabled investigators to connect the dots and focus on the accused.

According to a police official, the murder was not a robbery. The perpetrators slit Raigar's throat and left his body on the roadside. Santosh admitted to watching web series and 'CID' to get ideas for the murder. All three suspects are currently in custody and have been remanded. Forensic teams have gathered evidence from the crime scene, and further investigation is ongoing.

In a separate incident in Jaipur from March 2025, a similar case unfolded where a woman and her lover were arrested for the murder of her husband. Gopali Devi and her lover, Deendayal Kushwaha, murdered Dhannalal Saini, 45, after he confronted Devi about their extramarital affair. The couple attacked Saini with an iron rod and strangled him. They then attempted to dispose of the body by stuffing it in a sack, transporting it on a motorcycle, and setting it on fire in a secluded area.

CCTV footage captured Devi and Kushwaha carrying the sack containing Saini's body. The half-burnt body was discovered near Ring Road, and police identified the victim after two days. Devi and Kushwaha were arrested before they could escape from Jaipur. During interrogation, Devi admitted to being in a relationship with Kushwaha for several years, deceiving her husband by claiming to work at a clothing shop.
