He commended the Army for adhering strictly to the detailed preparations made in advance. Modi praised the armed forces for their "commendable job" and "immaculate execution," highlighting their professionalism and commitment to national security. He acknowledged the nation's unwavering support, stating, "The whole country was looking up to us. We are proud of our Army".

Cabinet ministers unanimously expressed their confidence in Prime Minister Modi's leadership and welcomed the government's decisive action with resounding applause. They conveyed the nation's firm solidarity with the Prime Minister and the military establishment in the ongoing fight against terrorism.

The government has convened an all-party meeting in Parliament on Thursday, May 8, 2025, to brief all political parties on Operation Sindoor. Congress leaders have expressed their expectation that Prime Minister Modi will chair the meeting, allowing for a discussion on the diplomatic and security strategy employed.

Operation Sindoor involved missile strikes on nine terror targets, including Jaish-e-Mohammad's stronghold in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba's base in Muridke. The Prime Minister had granted the armed forces full operational freedom to determine the targets, manner, and timing of the response following the Pahalgam attack.

In a significant move, India entrusted two women officers, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, to co-lead the briefing on Operation Sindoor.
