The much-awaited comedy-drama Son of Sardaar 2, starring Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur, is set to release in theaters on August 1, 2025. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the film is a spiritual sequel to the 2012 hit, Son of Sardaar.

Son of Sardaar 2 revisits Ajay Devgn's character, Jaswinder "Jassi" Singh, with the story set in Scotland. Years have passed since the events of the first film, and Jassi is now on a journey to reunite with his estranged wife after a family quarrel and house detention in Punjab. However, his plans are disrupted as he gets entangled in a hostage crisis and a feud between local mafia families. The film also introduces a parallel narrative featuring a group of children searching for a legendary golden mango during a festival.
The film features Ajay Devgn, Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan, and Sanjay Mishra. The cast also includes Neeru Bajwa, Deepak Dobriyal, Kubbra Sait, Vindu Dara Singh, Chunky Panday, Sharat Saxena, and Roshni Walia. Son of Sardaar 2 marks the final appearance of actor Mukul Dev, who passed away on May 23, 2025.
Son of Sardaar 2 is directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, N.R. Pachisia, and Pravin Talreja. The screenplay is written by Mohit Jain and Jagdeep Sidhu. Principal photography commenced in July 2024 and took place in Edinburgh, London, and Chandigarh, India. Aseem Bajaj is the cinematographer, and Ninad Khanolkar is the editor.
