Television actors Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee, known for their devotion to Lord Ganesha, welcomed Ganpati Bappa home with their daughters, Lianna and Divisha, ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi on August 25, 2025. The couple, who have been married for over 15 years, have been celebrating the Ganpati festival every year.

On August 25, Gurmeet and Debina were seen visiting a Ganpati idol shop with their daughters to bring Lord Ganesha to their house. A video circulating online shows Debina sitting in the front seat of their car with one of their daughters, while Gurmeet is in a tempo with their other daughter, transporting the Ganesha idol home. In accordance with tradition, the idol's face was covered with a cloth.

Notably, this year's Ganpati idol is pink, chosen by their daughters Lianna and Divisha. In the video, Gurmeet mentions that Lianna's favorite color is pink, and this year, Ganpati Bappa is entirely pink, reflecting the children's choice. Debina expressed her joy in involving their children in selecting the idol, emphasizing that it was entirely the children's decision to select the idol.

The viral video captured the attention of many online, with users expressing their appreciation for Gurmeet and Debina's efforts to introduce Indian traditions to their daughters. One user commented "Ganpati Bappa Morya," while another wrote, "Jai Shree Ganesh Ji Ki Jai".

Gurmeet and Debina secretly married in 2006 and publicly announced their wedding in 2011. They welcomed their first daughter, Lianna, in April 2022, and their second daughter, Divisha, in November 2022. The couple is currently seen in "Pati Patni Aur Panga".

Regarding the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, Gurmeet shared that they would be celebrating Ganpati Bappa for one and a half days. Debina added that they haven't had much time for preparation and will be doing everything overnight. Despite their busy schedules, they trust that Ganpati Bappa will take care of the preparations. Debina also mentioned her intention to decorate and expressed her desire to make Modak.
