Montero Lamar Hill, known professionally as Lil Nas X, has pleaded not guilty to multiple felony charges following an incident in Los Angeles last week. The 26-year-old rapper, famous for his record-breaking hit "Old Town Road," was arrested after police responded to reports of him walking naked on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday morning. According to police reports, Lil Nas X allegedly charged at the officers when they confronted him. Suspecting a possible overdose, the authorities took him to a local hospital for several hours before he was transferred to jail.

On Monday, Lil Nas X faced a judge and was formally charged with three counts of battery with injury on a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer. The District Attorney's office confirmed that he pleaded not guilty to all charges. The charges are felonies and could carry a sentence of more than 10 years in prison if he is convicted on all counts.

Following his arraignment, bail was set at $75,000, with the condition that he attend drug treatment. It remains unclear whether he has been released after posting bail.

Viral video captured Lil Nas X strutting down Ventura Boulevard, posing, singing and talking about a party. Some clips also show him walking around completely naked.

According to the criminal complaint, Lil Nas X "did unlawfully use force and violence and inflict an injury" on three officers he "reasonably should have known" were peace officers "engaged in the performance of a duty".

Christy O'Connor, Lil Nas X's attorney, acknowledged the seriousness of the allegations but described the incident as an "absolute aberration" in her client's life, emphasizing his "remarkable" achievements, including winning two Grammy Awards. "Assuming the allegations here are true, this is an absolute aberration in this person's life," O'Connor said in court, according to NBC. "Nothing like this has ever happened to him."

TMZ was the first to report the charges. Lil Nas X is scheduled to appear in court again on September 15 for a pre-trial hearing.

In the wake of the arrest, some sources have indicated that Lil Nas X's family is considering staging an intervention. The incident has sparked concern among fans, with some pointing to what they perceive as red flags leading up to the event.
