Jason Kelce, the older brother of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, has revealed that he is "hoping" to be the best man at his brother's upcoming wedding to pop superstar Taylor Swift. The retired Philadelphia Eagles center made the comments during an appearance on the "Bussin' with the Boys" podcast this week.

"Hopefully I'm the best man. We'll see," Jason said. "Trav has a lot of friends, I'm just hoping to get the opportunity". He acknowledged that while he would love to be by Travis' side on his big day, his brother has many options.

Jason's revelation comes after Travis and Taylor announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post on August 26. The post featured several photos from the proposal, which reportedly took place two weeks prior at a garden at Kelce's home in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Swift captioned the post, "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,". The post also featured her song "So High School,” which is seemingly about her romance with Travis.

During the podcast appearance, Jason also praised his future sister-in-law, explaining why he believes she is the right one for his brother. "She fully understands why Travis is an incredible human being," Jason said. "To watch them support each other, love each other, and get to this stage, I'm very happy for them". He added that he has been blessed to get to know Taylor over the last couple of years, and he thinks they match so well together and are unbelievably supportive of each other.

Jason also shared that he teared up when Taylor called Travis a "human exclamation point" while she was on the brothers' "New Heights" podcast last month. "The human exclamation point was the best way I've ever heard Travis described in my life," Jason said. "I think it's such an accurate statement. The dude just brings joy to every place he ever is, and people love him. And he makes everything better".

While wedding plans are likely underway, a source told People that the couple is in no rush to walk down the aisle. Fans have already begun speculating about the details of the wedding, including the location, the designer of the gown, and who will be in the wedding party. Despite Jason's uncertainty about being the best man, many would be shocked if Travis chose anyone else. Some have speculated that if not Jason, Travis might pick his teammate and close friend, Patrick Mahomes.
