Saanand Verma, widely recognized for his role in the popular sitcom Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, recently shared his thoughts on the importance of teachers and mentors, with a special emphasis on the role of parents as the first and most important gurus in one's life.

Verma reflected on his own life journey, noting that his path has been unconventional. He emphasized that he learned directly from life experiences, gaining knowledge and experience through hard work and perseverance. Verma acknowledged that a traditional education with regular schooling wasn't possible for him, but life itself provided invaluable lessons.

On the occasion of Teachers' Day, Verma highlighted the importance of parents, stating that "A mother and father are the true gurus of life". He believes their role in shaping individuals is irreplaceable and emphasized that their contribution is something that can never be repaid. Verma urged everyone to show gratitude and appreciation towards their parents. He also takes his mother’s blessings every day before leaving for work. He said that his mother taught him the concept of good and bad karma.

Verma also acknowledged the changing landscape of learning, recognizing the influence of technology. He noted that while selfless mentors were more common in the past, technology has emerged as a modern source of learning. Verma stated that "In today's time, the biggest guru of all is YouTube," where individuals can find videos and gain knowledge on virtually any subject.

In addition to his parents, Verma also spoke about the influence of music in his life and his training under Pandit Satyanarayan Mishra, a classical music teacher. He expressed gratitude for the love and guidance he received, even though he couldn't attend many classes due to scheduling conflicts. Verma also considers legendary playback singers like Kishore Kumar, Mohammad Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar, and Asha Bhosle as his gurus, drawing inspiration from their brilliance and joy in music. Kishore Kumar, in particular, holds a special place in his heart.

Verma’s father, a renowned poet, always encouraged him to pursue his passion for acting. His father motivated him from a young age, expressing his desire for Saanand to become a great actor. Despite facing poverty and hardships, Verma's parents instilled in him the value of hard work and perseverance. He saw their struggles as hidden blessings, shaping his character and leading him to success. Verma's father always remained optimistic and taught him to stay positive in all situations and to persevere through hard work.
