A search operation has been launched in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir after a suspected Pakistani drone was sighted hovering over vital military installations. The incident occurred on Friday around 9:35 pm in the Bari Brahmana area.

Officials reported that the drone was observed at an altitude of over 700 meters, moving from west to east above a military garrison. An immediate alert was sounded, and quick reaction teams of the Army were activated. Local police were also informed, and a joint operation was launched to ensure that no weapons or narcotics were airdropped by the drone.

The search operation aims to secure the area and investigate the drone's purpose, amid heightened vigilance along the India-Pakistan border. As of now, no further details on the operation's outcome were available.

In similar news, India has reportedly contacted Pakistan to share information about possible flooding in the Tawi River in Jammu. According to sources, the Indian High Commission in Islamabad conveyed the alert.
