Anushka Shetty's latest film, "Ghaati," a Telugu action crime drama directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, is heading to Amazon Prime Video for its OTT debut. The film, which also stars Vikram Prabhu, premiered in theaters on September 5, 2025.

Amazon Prime Video has reportedly acquired the streaming rights for "Ghaati" at a record-breaking price, marking a significant digital deal in Anushka Shetty's career. While an official confirmation is still pending, reports suggest that the film is expected to begin streaming on the platform in October 2025, roughly a month after its theatrical release. Sources close to the production team indicate that this deal has already helped the filmmakers recover a substantial portion of their budget.

"Ghaati" is set against the backdrop of the Eastern Ghats, specifically the Andhra Pradesh-Odisha border. The film delves into the lives of the Ghaati tribe, a marginalized community forced into cannabis cultivation and trade by the Naidu brothers. Anushka Shetty plays Sheelavathi, while Vikram Prabhu plays Desi Raju. Together, they aspire to liberate their people from the clutches of crime by starting their own business, which leads them into a conflict with the cannabis syndicate. Sheelavathi endures a personal loss and must rise above expectations, ultimately becoming a legend within her community as she seeks revenge.

The film has a runtime of 2 hours and 37 minutes and has received a U/A rating. The supporting cast includes Chaitanya Rao Madadi, Jagapathi Babu, Raghav Rudra Mulpuru, Jisshu Sengupta, John Vijay, Ravindra Vijay, Devika Priyadarshini, Larissa Bonesi, VTV Ganesh, and Raju Sundaram. The music is composed by Nagavelli Vidya Sagar, with cinematography by Manojh Reddy Katasani and editing by Chanakya Reddy Toorupu.

"Ghaati" faced several postponements before its eventual release on September 5, 2025. The film was initially planned for release on April 18, 2025, and later moved to July 11, 2025. The movie was shot on a custom-built studio using On-Set Virtual Production (OSVP) technology.
