Apple's "Awe Dropping" event on September 9, 2025, unveiled the iPhone 17 series, alongside new Apple Watches and the AirPods Pro 3. The iPhone 17 lineup includes the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Pre-orders begin on September 12, with availability starting September 19.
iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air
The iPhone 17 features a 6.3-inch display with ProMotion, a 24MP front camera, and comes in colors like purple and green. It has an upgraded Ceramic Shield 2 for scratch resistance and glare reduction. The A19 chip powers the device, offering improved graphics and battery life. The iPhone 17 is priced at ₹82,900 for the 256GB variant and ₹1,02,900 for the 512GB model.
The iPhone 17 Air stands out as the thinnest iPhone at 5.5mm. It features a 6.6-inch display and a single 48MP Fusion camera. The iPhone 17 Air is an eSIM-only model globally. It will be available in space black, cloud white, light gold, and sky blue.
iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max
The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max feature the A19 Pro processor and iOS 26, supporting Apple Intelligence features. They come with a vapor chamber cooling system. The iPhone 17 Pro has a starting price of ₹1,34,900, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max starts at ₹1,49,900 in India.
The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are available in cosmic orange, deep blue, and silver. The iPhone 17 Pro starts with 256GB of storage, while the Pro Max offers a 2TB option for the first time. The iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to debut a periscope telephoto lens offering up to 6x or 8x optical zoom.
AirPods Pro 3
The AirPods Pro 3 were also unveiled, featuring improved noise cancellation, better fit, and new AI features like Live Translation. The AirPods Pro 3 have a new design with smaller earbuds and come with five sizes of ear tips. They have upgraded Active Noise Cancellation, up to 2x more powerful than AirPods Pro 2. The battery life is also improved, offering 8 hours per charge. The AirPods Pro 3 are priced at $249 and will be released on September 19.
Pricing and Availability in India
The iPhone 17 Pro starts at ₹1,34,900, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max starts at ₹1,49,900. The top-end 2TB variant of the iPhone 17 Pro Max is priced at ₹2,29,900. Pre-orders for the iPhone 17 series begin on September 12, with sales commencing on September 19.
