BJP Condemns RJD's Derogatory Remarks Against PM's Mother, Accuses Party of 'Dirty Thinking'.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a scathing attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), accusing the party of "dirty thinking" following alleged derogatory remarks made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's late mother during a recent rally in Bihar. The BJP has reacted strongly, with leaders condemning the RJD's actions as "uncivilized" and "uncultured".

The controversy erupted during Tejashwi Yadav's 'Bihar Adhikar Yatra', where BJP leaders claim RJD workers used "extremely derogatory words" against PM Modi's mother. The BJP's IT Department chief, Amit Malviya, alleged that Yadav was present on stage but did nothing to stop his supporters. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary shared a video on X, accusing Yadav of insulting Modi's mother and tearing apart Bihar's culture, further claiming that Yadav encouraged the abusive behavior. Another Deputy Chief Minister, Vijay Kumar Sinha, echoed this view, asserting that abuses were hurled at PM Modi's late mother during Yadav's rally, and the RJD leader boosted the morale of his workers.

The BJP's Bihar unit asserted that the "RJD-Congress has one programme, to abuse mothers and sisters". They added that Bihar would not forget those abusing a mother and that the mothers and sisters of Bihar would respond to all abuses.

This is not the first time such allegations have surfaced. Earlier, during Rahul Gandhi's 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' in Darbhanga, similar accusations were made against Congress and RJD workers. PM Modi expressed his pain over the abuses hurled at his mother, stating that while he might forgive the RJD and Congress, the people of Bihar would not. He questioned why his mother, who had nothing to do with politics, was being targeted and said that such actions reveal a mindset that considers women weak, thus insulting every woman in the country.

In response to the recent allegations, the RJD has vehemently denied the charges, claiming the video circulating is "doctored" and that no such incident occurred. An RJD MLA posted on Facebook, accusing the BJP of sharing a doctored video to defame the RJD as part of a conspiracy. They referenced a previous incident where Congress released an AI-generated video imagining a conversation between PM Modi and his late mother, calling it "disgusting".

The political atmosphere in Bihar is highly charged, with elections approaching. The BJP has been using the incidents to attack the RJD, portraying the party as disrespectful and lacking in basic decency. In a related development, the Bihar BJP put up posters showing Modi's late mother as Goddess Durga and opposition leaders as demons. This came amid the ongoing controversy over the alleged insults to the Prime Minister's mother. The Congress defended the video, saying there was no disrespect towards anyone.
