A woman from Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, identified as Tanuja Singh, has made a desperate plea to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, writing a letter in her own blood, seeking his intervention to save her husband from alleged sextortion and "love jihad". Tanuja alleges that a woman named Kulsum Bano, along with her associates Wasim Khan and Aslon Khan, have entrapped her husband, Amit Singh, in a scheme involving blackmail and extortion.
According to Tanuja, Kulsum possesses compromising videos of Amit and is using them to blackmail him and his family, threatening to release the videos if her demands are not met. Amit, who works as a lawyer in the Raebareli Kotwali area, reportedly became entangled in this situation through his professional association with Kulsum. Tanuja claims that the situation began when her husband and Kulsum were working together.
Tanuja states that she has been running from pillar to post for the last six months, seeking assistance from various administrative offices, but to no avail. She expresses feeling helpless and claims that the police and administration's inaction has put her life in danger. Overwhelmed by the situation, she has warned that she will be forced to commit suicide if she does not receive justice soon.
In a dramatic move, Tanuja reached the Superintendent of Police (SP) office in Raebareli and presented the blood-written letter to the media, which she intended for Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The letter poignantly illustrates her desperation and the extreme measures she feels compelled to take to protect her husband and family from the alleged injustice.
Police reports indicate that there have been previous disputes and legal cases between Tanuja and Amit Singh, suggesting a history of marital discord. Authorities have acknowledged the receipt of Tanuja's complaint and have assured that the matter is under investigation, with promises of swift action.
