Mumbai is gearing up for a grand celebration of Bollywood music as the eighth edition of the Bollywood Music Project (BMP) is set to take place on October 4–5, 2025, at Jio World Garden. This edition of Asia's largest Bollywood music festival promises a non-stop musical journey with over 30 iconic and emerging artists. The festival is expected to draw over 25,000 attendees.
The festival boasts a stellar lineup of renowned artists, including Shankar Mahadevan, Farhan Akhtar, Shaan, Usha Uthup, and Bismil. The event aims to celebrate Bollywood's rich musical legacy and its vibrant future with the theme "All The Feels, All The Hits".
Shankar Mahadevan, along with Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa, will headline the first day with an expansive three-hour set, performing evergreen hits such as "Dil Chahta Hai," "Kal Ho Na Ho," "Rock On," "Tere Naina," and "O Rangrez". Farhan Akhtar and Shaan will also grace the stage, reviving their chartbusters like "Senorita," "Gallan Goodiyaan," "Socha Hain," "Pichle Saat Dino Mein," "Toh Zinda Ho Tum", "You're My Love", "Dus Bahane", "Koi Kahe Kehta Rahe", "Chaand Sifaarish" and "Jab Se Tere Naina". Percussionist Sivamani will also perform. Rising talents Siddharth and Shivam Mahadevan are also slated to perform. Anu Malik will breathe new life into '90s Bollywood classics. Baba Sehgal will energize the crowd with his signature Bollywood rap, including "Thanda Thanda Pani". Kunal Ganjawala and Abhijeet Sawant are also part of the day one lineup.
The second day will feature composer duo Salim-Sulaiman, who will deliver hits such as "Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai" and "Chak De India". Tanishk Bagchi, along with Zarah S Khan and Asees Kaur, will electrify the stage with reimagined dance anthems. Usha Uthup will add a jazz-disco flair to the event. Bismil will debut a Sufi-rock fusion set, and Hargun Kaur will present Punjabi Sufi-folk music backed by tabla.
Other noteworthy performers include Kabir Singh, Abhay Jodhpurkar, Aflatunes, Rakesh Maini, Simran Choudhary, Farhad Bhiwandiwala, Rishabh Chaturvedi, and Pawandeep Rajan.
