The musical "Mera Desh Pehle: The Untold Story Of Shri Narendra Modi," which chronicles the life of India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi, recently held a special screening in Mumbai at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC). The event drew a host of Bollywood celebrities, including Janhvi Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor.
"Mera Desh Pehle" is a musical saga that traces Narendra Modi's journey from his childhood through his political career and rise to leadership. The musical is written by Manoj Muntashir and directed by Deepak Gattani. Vipul Amrutlal Shah produced it. The show features songs by singers such as B Praak, Sneha Shankar, Rishi Singh, Ashish Kulkarni, and Ujwal Gajbhar.
Janhvi Kapoor, who attended the screening, expressed her admiration for Prime Minister Modi and the musical's artistic representation of his life. Speaking to IANS, Janhvi said that seeing PM Modi's life story represented in such an artistic form makes her very happy and excited as an artist. When asked what inspires her most about PM Modi, she stated that she is inspired by everything he is doing for the country.
Other attendees also shared their thoughts on the musical and PM Modi. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who was present at the screening, highlighted that the show sheds light on lesser-known aspects of PM Modi's life and is attracting people from all walks of life. Actress Shefali Shah said that PM Modi's greatest quality is that there is transparency, but there remains an intrigue about how this incredible human being thinks, and she is extremely excited to see the musical. Arjun Kapoor said he was delighted to be at the event.
"Mera Desh Pehle" has been conceptualized by Manoj Muntashir, who also serves as the writer. The musical aims to present a deeper, emotional look at Modi's personal and political journey. The show debuted in Delhi at the Indira Gandhi Stadium and has plans to be staged in six major cities across the nation.
