On September 17, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will mark his 75th birthday with a visit to Madhya Pradesh, where he will inaugurate the PM MITRA Park in Dhar district and launch the 'Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan'. Two special pavilions dedicated to the themes PM MITRA Park and Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan will be showcased exclusively to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17 in Dhar.
PM MITRA Park
The PM MITRA Park in Dhar is set to be India's first mega integrated textile region and apparel park. This initiative aims to boost the Indian textile industry by integrating the entire value chain, from farm to foreign markets, within a single complex. The park is projected to generate 100,000 direct and 200,000 indirect employment opportunities, fostering rural-industrial growth.
Located in Bhainsola village, Dhar district, the park is expected to transform Madhya Pradesh's cotton and textile ecosystem, establishing it as a national model for agriculture-based industrial development. The park will facilitate local processing of cotton, including spinning, weaving, and garment manufacturing, eliminating the need to transport raw materials to other states. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has emphasized that private sector participation is central to the success of the PM Mitra Park. Already, 114 companies have applied for land, with 91 having received approvals. The Ministry of Textiles will provide financial support of up to Rs 500 crore per park to the park SPV. A CIS of up to Rs 300 crore per park to the units in PM MITRA Park shall also be provided to incentivize speedy implementation.
The PM MITRA scheme was launched by the Ministry of Textiles in 2021 with the goal of strengthening the Indian textile industry. The central government has selected sites in Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh for the establishment of textile parks under this scheme. These parks are planned to be established by 2026-27. Each park will include an incubation center, a common processing house, a common effluent treatment plant, and other textile-related facilities like design and testing centers.
Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan
The 'Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan' is a nationwide health campaign led jointly by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of Women and Child Development. It will be launched alongside the 8th Poshan Maah. The campaign will run from September 17 to October 2, 2025, and aims to strengthen healthcare and nutrition services for women, adolescent girls, and children across India. This initiative aligns with the Prime Minister's vision of a healthy, empowered, and "Viksit Bharat" (Developed India) by 2047.
The campaign seeks to provide women-centric preventive, promotive, and curative health services at the community level. It will focus on strengthening screening, early detection, and treatment linkages for non-communicable diseases, anaemia, tuberculosis, and sickle cell disease. It will also promote maternal, child, and adolescent health through antenatal care, immunization, nutrition, menstrual hygiene, lifestyle awareness, and mental health awareness activities. The initiative will mobilize communities towards healthy lifestyle practices, with a special emphasis on obesity prevention, improved nutrition, and voluntary blood donation.
More than one lakh health camps will be organized across the country as part of the campaign. These camps will be set up at Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, Community Health Centres, District Hospitals, and other government health facilities. Medical colleges and institutions have been requested to actively participate in the campaign by organizing health camps and assisting state/UT camps.
The campaign will cover a wide range of health services, including screening for non-communicable diseases, cancers, anaemia, tuberculosis, sickle cell disease, and maternal health. It will also provide nutrition counseling, menstrual hygiene promotion, and awareness sessions on lifestyle and mental health. Beneficiaries will be linked to digital health services such as Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts (ABHA) and PM-JAY.
