Ahead of the highly anticipated Asia Cup final between India and Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 28, 2025, Dubai Police have implemented strict security measures and issued a comprehensive list of banned items to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
With tickets for the high-voltage clash sold out, authorities are preparing for a packed stadium and have urged fans to cooperate fully with security personnel and adhere to all guidelines. Spectators are advised to arrive at least three hours before the match begins to allow ample time for security checks and entry. Each ticket permits a single entry only, and re-entry to the stadium will not be allowed under any circumstances.
To maintain order and prevent any potential hazards, Dubai Police have prohibited a range of items inside the stadium. These include:
- Flammable items such as fireworks, flares, and hazardous materials
- Weapons and sharp objects
- Laser pointers
- Toxic substances and remote-controlled devices
- Large umbrellas, camera rigs, and selfie sticks
- Unauthorized photography equipment
- Flags, banners, or signs not approved by organizers
- Glass items
- Pets, bicycles, skateboards, and scooters
- Outside food and drinks
- Smoking and other unsafe items
Dubai Police have also warned against any unauthorized political banners or placards. Authorities have emphasized that violations of these regulations will be dealt with strictly under the Federal Law on the Security of Sports Facilities and Events.
Penalties for violations include:
- Imprisonment of one to three months and fines ranging from Dh5,000 (₹1.20 lakh) to Dh30,000 (₹7.20 lakh) for unauthorized pitch entry or possession of banned items like fireworks and flares.
- Fines ranging from Dh10,000 (₹2.40 lakh) to Dh30,000, along with possible imprisonment, for violence, throwing objects, or using racist or abusive language.
The Events Security Committee (ESC) and Dubai Police have also issued guidelines for fans to follow:
- Arrive at least three hours before kick-off.
- Enter through the gates assigned by event organizers.
- Follow instructions from stewards and obey all posted signs throughout the venue.
- Park vehicles only in designated areas and avoid stopping or parking on main roads leading to the stadium.
India and Pakistan have already met twice in the tournament, with India winning both matches. This is the first time that the two sides are meeting in the final of the Asia Cup.
