Sumeet Vyas, Aditi Pohankar, and Priyanshu Painyuli to lead Raj Chakraborty's highly anticipated web series project.

Acclaimed actors Sumeet Vyas, Aditi Pohankar, and Priyanshu Painyuli are set to star in Raj Chakraborty's upcoming web series, marking the Bengali filmmaker's debut in the Hindi streaming space. The romantic thriller, which is yet to be titled, will stream on JioHotstar. Parambrata Chatterjee will also play a key role in the series.

The series has already wrapped filming in Kolkata and Darjeeling and is currently in post-production in Mumbai. According to a source associated with the production, the series "revolves around a relationship tested by betrayal and hidden motives, set against the shifting social and political undercurrents of Kolkata and the hills of Darjeeling". The team filmed several key sequences in Kolkata's older neighborhoods and colonial-era buildings. The streamer is expected to announce the title and release date later this year.

Raj Chakraborty, known for his work in Bengali cinema, including films like Proloy (2013), Parineeta (2019), Habji Gabji (2022), and Shontaan (2024), is making his Hindi web debut with this project. This romantic thriller marks Chakraborty's third project with Parambrata Chatterjee after Proloy and Habji Gabji. Chakraborty's previous web series Abar Proloy, a crime thriller and spin-off of his 2013 film Proloy, was released on ZEE5 in 2023.

Sumeet Vyas has several projects to his credit, including Permanent Roommates, Tripling, and films like Veere Di Wedding and Made In China. His film Detective Sherdil was released on June 20, 2025. In 2024, Vyas directed the web series Raat Jawaan Hai. He is also developing a thriller script with dark humor.

Aditi Pohankar is known for her roles in the web series She and Aashram. Her upcoming films include Mandala Murders and Star, a Tamil film. Star features Pohankar as Jimikky.

Priyanshu Painyuli, who gained recognition for his role in Mirzapur, will also be seen in the upcoming indie thriller Pirates, where he plays a Delhi cab driver who becomes a hacker. Painyuli is also making his directorial debut with the feature film Jaagar, set in Uttarakhand. Additionally, he will be seen in Paan Parda Zarda, a web show set in Bhopal. Painyuli expressed his desire for a spin-off of his Mirzapur character, Robin.

This web series promises to be a gripping romantic thriller with a stellar cast and a seasoned director at the helm. The combination of Raj Chakraborty's storytelling and the actors' performances is expected to create a compelling narrative for the audience.
