The North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Pandal, known for its grandeur and vibrant atmosphere, was illuminated with devotion and the presence of Bollywood stars on Saptami. Sumona Chakravarti, a popular TV actress, added to the festive fervor with her Dhunuchi dance. Videos and photos of the event quickly circulated on social media, capturing the mix of religious ritual and celebrity attendance that has become a hallmark of the Mukerji family's Durga Puja.
Sumona looked radiant in a yellow saree as she celebrated Maha Saptami with her family at the North Bombay Durga Puja. She participated in the Dhunuchi dance, holding the dhunuchi with her mouth and dancing in front of the goddess. Fans praised her performance, with one commenting, "Woow so nice and hard," and another hailing it as a "dhuvvadaar performance". Actress Tanishaa Mukerji also performed the Dhunuchi dance at the pandal.
The Durga Puja celebrations also saw an emotional reunion between Jaya Bachchan and Kajol, who warmly embraced and shared a long conversation. Jaya Bachchan looked radiant in a golden and beige saree. The festivities, which run from September 28 (Maha Sashthi) to October 2 (Vijayadashami), are being held at SNDT Grounds, Juhu.
