Priyanka Chopra Jonas celebrated Karwa Chauth with traditional fervor, sharing glimpses of the festivities on social media. The actress, known for embracing her Indian roots while living abroad, offered fans a peek into her preparations, which included a beautiful mehendi design featuring her husband Nick Jonas' name written in Hindi on her palm. She credited her friend Shirin Charaniya for the intricate henna art.

Adding to the heartwarming display, Priyanka also shared a photo of her hand alongside her daughter Malti Marie's, both adorned with delicate henna patterns. This marked Malti's adorable participation in the Karwa Chauth celebrations.

Karwa Chauth, a significant Hindu festival observed primarily in Nepal, North India, and West India, involves women fasting from sunrise to moonrise for the safety and longevity of their husbands. The fast is broken after the moon is sighted and certain rituals are performed.

Priyanka, who was raised in a Punjabi Hindu family, and Nick, who comes from a Christian background, tied the knot in 2018 in grand ceremonies that honored both traditions. They welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie, in January 2022 via surrogacy. The couple actively ensures that their daughter absorbs traditions from both of their cultures.

Despite juggling film commitments in both India and the US, Priyanka never fails to celebrate Indian festivals. She has often spoken about her and Nick's spiritual alignment, emphasizing their mutual respect for each other's cultures and faiths. In a previous interview, Priyanka shared, "Spiritually, Nick and I align when it comes to our feelings and our relationship with our faith... I am a believer that eventually, religion is a map to get to the same destination, which is God... We both align on that".

Meanwhile, Nick Jonas has been on tour with his brothers, Kevin and Joe, as the Jonas Brothers. The "JONAS20: LIVING THE DREAM" tour celebrates their 20-year journey in the music industry. However, it appears Nick made a temporary return home amidst the tour schedule to be with his wife for Karwa Chauth. The Jonas Brothers have several tour dates in October, including performances in St. Paul, Milwaukee, and Austin. The tour includes special guests, The All-American Rejects.

On the work front, Priyanka is currently filming for SS Rajamouli's upcoming jungle adventure film alongside Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj. She has also been signed on for "Krrish 4", marking Hrithik Roshan's directorial debut.
