New Usmanpur, Delhi: A 22-year-old man was robbed of 11 kg of silver after stopping his scooter during a roadside altercation in the New Usmanpur area of northeast Delhi. The incident occurred on Sunday near JPC Hospital.
Ramratan Aggarwal, a resident of Shahdara, reported to police that he was on his way home when his scooter brushed against another two-wheeler occupied by two men. This led to a verbal exchange, during which Aggarwal stopped his scooter.
According to the police report, the silver was stored in the scooter's storage compartment. While Aggarwal was engaged in the argument, the two accused allegedly stole the silver from the vehicle.
The police have registered a case and are investigating the theft. Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area in an attempt to identify the suspects and determine the sequence of events. The investigation is ongoing.
