Amazon has launched the Fire TV Stick 4K Select in India, marking the debut of its Vega OS in the country. Priced at Rs 5,499, this new entrant expands Amazon's 4K lineup, offering an accessible entry point into high-resolution streaming. It joins the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus and the Fire TV Cube in catering to diverse entertainment needs and budgets.

The Fire TV Stick 4K Select is designed to provide users with a seamless upgrade to 4K Ultra HD streaming and HDR10+ support without needing to replace their existing TV. The device simply plugs into a TV's HDMI port that supports HDCP 2.2.

A key highlight of the Fire TV Stick 4K Select is the introduction of Amazon's Vega OS in India. This new operating system promises enhanced performance and responsiveness, ensuring quick app launches and smooth navigation. The device is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core processor, which Amazon touts as the fastest among all its Fire TV Sticks in India.

With the Alexa Voice Remote, users can easily browse content, control playback, adjust volume, and even manage their TV's power. The remote also doubles as a smart home controller, enabling voice commands for compatible devices like air conditioners, lights, and fans. Alexa can also be used for everyday tasks such as setting reminders, checking the weather, and playing music.

The Fire TV Stick 4K Select also introduces the Fire TV Ambient Experience to India. This feature transforms the TV screen into a dynamic art display, offering access to over 2,000 pieces of museum-quality art and photography. Users can activate this feature through the Alexa button or with voice commands like "Alexa, launch Ambient Experience".

The device grants access to a vast library of movies and TV episodes from popular streaming platforms like Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube, Hotstar, and Zee5. It also supports free and ad-supported content, including live sports and news.
