Ranveer Singh's "Dhurandhar" has stormed the box office, achieving a historic milestone by crossing the ₹1000 crore mark worldwide in just 21 days. Released on December 5, 2025, the Aditya Dhar directorial has emerged as a major blockbuster, reinvigorating optimism within the Hindi film industry.
The film's global gross collection has reached approximately ₹1003 crore, with significant contributions from both domestic and international markets. In India, the film has earned an estimated ₹778 crore gross. Overseas collections have surpassed ₹200 crore, reaching around ₹225 crore, a rare feat for a Bollywood film. As of December 26, 2025, "Dhurandhar" had grossed ₹796.19 crore domestically and ₹217.6 crore overseas, totaling ₹1,007.21 crore worldwide.
"Dhurandhar" has become the fourth Hindi film and ninth Indian film overall to enter the ₹1000 Crore Club. While "Jawan" holds the record for reaching this milestone in just 18 days, "Dhurandhar" is the second fastest Bollywood film to achieve this feat. The film's 21st day saw a higher turnout than its opening day, with early estimates reporting ₹26 crore earned on day 21 and a domestic collection of ₹668.80 crore.
The film has surpassed the lifetime collections of several major Bollywood films, including "Jawan". "Dhurandhar" is now aiming to overtake "Kalki 2898 AD", which earned ₹646.31 crore in its lifetime in India.
"Dhurandhar" faced challenges, including a ban across the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and an 'A' (adults only) certificate from the CBFC for strong violence, resulting in some censorship. Despite these hurdles, the film has performed well in North America, crossing USD 2 million in its first weekend, and continued its successful run in the US, UK, Australia, and parts of Europe.
In its opening week, "Dhurandhar" collected ₹207.25 crore, followed by ₹253.25 crore in the second week, demonstrating a 22.20% increase. While the film experienced a slowdown in its third week with earnings of ₹173 crore, it saw a revival on Day 21 before earning ₹15 crore on Day 22.
The film's success is attributed to steady audience interest, with Friday occupancy reflecting an overall footfall of 28.20%. Evening shows have seen the highest turnout, reaching 34.90%. "Dhurandhar" features an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun, and Manav Gohil. The film is presented by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, and produced by Aditya Dhar, Jyoti Deshpande, and Lokesh Dhar.
