New Petrol & Diesel Prices Revealed: Find Out the Latest Fuel Rates in Your City for November 1st.

Petrol, Diesel Prices Increased Effective November 1

Islamabad: The government has announced an increase in the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD), effective November 1, 2025. The decision follows recommendations from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and consultations with relevant ministries, according to a statement from the Finance Division.

The price of petrol has been raised by Rs2.43 per litre, bringing the new price to Rs265.45 per litre. Similarly, the rate of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs3.02 per litre, setting the new price at Rs278.44 per litre. These revised prices will remain in effect for the next two weeks.

The Finance Division explained that the adjustments are based on fluctuations in global oil prices and exchange rates, after reviewing data provided by OGRA and other relevant departments. In the previous fortnightly review, the government had reduced petrol prices by Rs5.66 per litre and diesel prices by Rs1.39 per litre. The division stated that the new pricing reflects current international market conditions and aims to ensure price stability while maintaining supply across the country.

The increase in HSD prices is expected to have an inflationary impact, as it is primarily used in heavy transport vehicles, trains, and agricultural machinery, thus affecting the cost of essential commodities. The rise in petrol prices will directly impact the budgets of middle- and lower-middle-class consumers who rely on private transport.

Meanwhile, OGRA has notified a reduction in the consumer price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) by Rs5.88 per kilogram, bringing it down to Rs201.60 per kg. The price of an 11.8kg domestic cylinder has been fixed at Rs2,378.89 for November, a decrease of Rs69.44 from Rs2,448.53 in October.

The government has been encouraging consumers to stay informed about the updated petrol prices and plan their fuel usage accordingly. These adjustments in petroleum product prices are part of regular revisions to ensure fair pricing and manage the impact of global oil price changes on local consumers.

Globally, gasoline prices are averaging $1.29 U.S. Dollar per liter as of October 27, 2025, with significant differences among countries due to taxes and subsidies. In the United States, the average retail gas price is $3.164 per gallon as of October 27, 2025, showing a slight increase from the previous week but a decrease from the previous year.
