PM Kisan: Secure Your Next Rs 2,000 Installment - Complete These Four Essential Tasks Before the 21st Installment Date.

The 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana is expected to be credited to farmers' accounts in early November 2025. Over 10 crore (100 million) farmers across India are set to benefit from this central government initiative, which provides ₹6,000 per year to eligible farmers in three installments of ₹2,000 each.

While the official release date is yet to be confirmed by the government, media reports suggest the installment might be released just before the Bihar Assembly elections, scheduled for November 6 and 11. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan recently announced that the next installment of ₹2,000 would soon be transferred to eligible farmers. He urged all state governments to expedite Aadhaar seeding, e-KYC, and other required verifications to avoid any delays in payment.

To ensure you receive the ₹2,000 installment without interruption, completing a few important tasks is crucial:

  1. Complete e-KYC: E-KYC is mandatory for all farmers registered under the PM-KISAN scheme. You can complete your e-KYC by visiting your nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or online through the PM-Kisan portal. To complete e-KYC online, visit pmkisan.gov.in, navigate to the 'Farmer's Corner,' and select 'e-KYC'. Enter your Aadhaar number and verify with the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
  2. Land Verification: Verifying your cultivable land is essential. Without land verification, the scheme funds cannot be transferred directly to your account.
  3. Link Aadhaar Card to Bank Account: Linking your Aadhaar card to your bank account is necessary for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). If your Aadhaar is not linked, the funds will not be credited to your account through DBT. Visit your bank branch to complete the Aadhaar linking.
  4. Ensure DBT is Enabled: It is important to enable the DBT option in your bank account. The government sends funds through DBT, and if the option is not enabled, the funds will not be credited to your account.

New Farmer Registration:

Farmers who have not yet registered for the PM-KISAN scheme can do so by following these steps:

  1. Visit the official PM-Kisan website: pmkisan.gov.in.
  2. Click on 'New Farmer Registration'.
  3. Enter your Aadhaar number, select your state, and enter the captcha code.
  4. Verify your Aadhaar using the OTP received on your registered mobile number.
  5. Fill in the required details, including your name, bank account number, IFSC code, mobile number, and land information.
  6. Upload the necessary land documents (if required) and submit the form.

Once your application is verified by the State Nodal Officer (SNO), your name will be added to the beneficiary list.

States Receiving Installments:

As of late October 2025, the 21st installment has already been released to farmers in some states, including Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu & Kashmir. These states received the installment as an advance relief to compensate for losses caused by floods and landslides.

Eligibility Criteria:

To receive an installment under the PM-KISAN scheme, farmers must meet certain eligibility criteria:

  • The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
  • The applicant must own cultivable land with valid land records.
  • The farmer must link their Aadhaar number to their bank account.
  • The farmer must complete eKYC verification.

Farmers who are income tax payers, pensioners, or employed in government/public sector jobs are not eligible for the scheme.

Checking Beneficiary Status:

To check your beneficiary status, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official PM-Kisan website.
  2. Go to the 'Farmers Corner' section.
  3. Click on the 'Beneficiary Status' option.
  4. Enter your Aadhaar number, bank account number, or registered mobile number.
  5. Your beneficiary status, including payment details, will be displayed on the screen.

By completing the necessary tasks and ensuring your eligibility, you can avoid any delays and receive the 21st installment of ₹2,000 under the PM-KISAN Yojana.
