Sunny Deol's team clarifies Dharmendra's health: Actor stable and observed; death rumours dispelled with official statement.

Mumbai, November 10, 2025 – Veteran actor Dharmendra is currently under observation at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, following a period of routine health check-ups. Amidst swirling rumors regarding his health, including false reports of his passing, his son Sunny Deol's team has issued an official statement to address the concerns and clarify the situation.

"Mr. Dharmendra is stable and under observation. Further comments and updates will be shared as available. Kindly don't indulge in spreading false rumours regarding his health. Request everyone to pray for his speedy recovery and respect the family's right to privacy," the statement read.

The statement aims to put an end to the misinformation circulating online, particularly on social media platforms, regarding the 89-year-old actor's well-being. Earlier reports had suggested that Dharmendra was in critical condition and even on ventilator support; however, these claims have been refuted by his family and team. Sunny Deol himself addressed the rumors, stating to Times of India, "It's rumour mongering like always. Sir is getting better. He's under observation. There's nothing to worry".

Dharmendra had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital earlier this week for what was initially described as routine medical examinations. According to sources, the actor's regular hospital visits for check-ups are not uncommon, and this particular visit sparked unnecessary panic among fans. "There is absolutely no cause for concern. He is in good health and frequently visits the hospital for regular medical tests," a statement from October 31st read.

Adding to the reassurance, Dharmendra's wife, Hema Malini, also shared an update on social media, requesting fans to pray for his recovery. "I thank everyone for their concern about Dharam ji who is in hospital for observation. He is being continuously monitored and we are all with him. I request you all to pray for his welfare and speedy recovery," she posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. She was also seen visiting him in the hospital.

Several members of the Deol family, including Sunny Deol with his sons Karan and Rajveer, have been spotted at the hospital, showing their support. Celebrities like Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have also visited the veteran actor.

Dharmendra, who will turn 90 in December, has had a long and illustrious career in Bollywood, earning him the title of 'He-Man'. Despite his age, he remains active in the film industry, with recent appearances in movies such as Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani and Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. He is also slated to appear in Sriram Raghavan's Ikkis.

The family has requested that the media and fans respect their privacy during this time and refrain from spreading unverified information. Further updates on Dharmendra's health will be provided as they become available.
