Oberoi explained that he was traveling at night when the incident occurred. He had reclined his seat when suddenly there was a massive crash. A camel cart carrying iron rods unexpectedly appeared on the road. The rods smashed through the windshield of his car. Oberoi believes that if his seat had been upright, the rods would have pierced his body. He was trapped inside the car, unable to move because of the rods positioned above him. Remarkably, he escaped the ordeal unharmed.

The experience left a lasting impression on Oberoi, leading him to make a life-changing decision. Following the incident, he resolved to avoid night travel.
