Disturbing Discovery: Injured Woman Found Partially Clothed Near Delhi Railway Tracks, Investigation Underway.

A middle-aged woman's body was discovered near the Adarsh Nagar Railway Station in Delhi on Sunday, prompting the Delhi Police to launch a murder investigation. The body was found in a densely overgrown area behind the station.

According to authorities, the gruesome discovery was made after a Government Railway Police (GRP) staff member from the Sabzi Mandi area reported a body lying in the shrubbery. Police were alerted on November 16, 2025, by ASI Dharmender from PS Subzi Mandi. Initial assessments suggest the victim was between 40 and 45 years old.

A senior police officer stated that the woman, believed to be a ragpicker or vagabond, showed signs of a violent assault. "Her clothes were torn, and she had sustained significant injuries to her face and head, including a deep wound likely caused by a sharp object. Blood was also found around her mouth," the officer added. The woman was found half-naked, with multiple injury marks and deep cut wounds on her face and head, which are suspected to have been inflicted with a sharp-edged weapon.

Investigators recovered potential evidence from the scene, including a pair of women's slippers, a pair of men's slippers, and other materials possibly linked to the crime. A suspected weapon was also recovered from the spot. A forensic team examined the scene and collected samples for analysis. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify suspects and trace the woman's movements before the incident.

The woman's identity remains unknown. Police have registered a murder case at the Mahendra Park police station and formed special teams to investigate. Efforts are underway to locate her family or acquaintances.

The police are thoroughly inspecting the crime scene. The investigation is ongoing.
