The highly anticipated trailer for Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, has been released, while director SS Rajamouli faces legal trouble following comments about Lord Hanuman.

‘Dhurandhar’ Trailer Unveiled: Ranveer Singh in a Fiery Avatar

The trailer for Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, is finally here, showcasing Ranveer Singh in what is being described as his most violent role yet. The film, inspired by real-life incidents and cross-border intelligence operations, is set to release in theaters on December 5, 2025.

The trailer of Dhurandhar features intense action sequences and a gritty narrative. Ranveer Singh sports a menacing look with long hair and a rugged beard. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal. The trailer was initially scheduled for release on November 15 but was delayed after the Delhi Red Fort blast on November 10.

The movie is produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studio. Dhurandhar promises a blend of action, mystery, and deep emotions. The film marks Aditya Dhar's return to directing after Uri: The Surgical Strike.

FIR Filed Against SS Rajamouli Over 'Hanuman' Comment

SS Rajamouli, the director of blockbuster films like RRR and the Baahubali series, is facing a police complaint for allegedly hurting religious sentiments. The complaint stems from remarks he made during a Globetrotter event in Hyderabad on November 15, related to his upcoming film Varanasi.

During the event, Rajamouli expressed his lack of belief in God, specifically Lord Hanuman. According to reports, technical glitches during the teaser presentation of Varanasi led to Rajamouli sharing his frustrations, which included the comment, "I don't believe in God Hanuman".

The Vanara Sena organization has filed a complaint against Rajamouli, accusing him of hurting Hindu sentiments. Police have acknowledged the complaint and are currently investigating the matter.

Rajamouli's comments have sparked controversy online, with some users criticizing him for being disrespectful to Lord Hanuman. An old tweet from 2011 has also resurfaced, where Rajamouli stated he never liked Lord Ram and preferred Lord Krishna, further fueling the controversy. Despite directing films that often draw from Indian epics and spiritual imagery, Rajamouli has identified as an atheist.
