Ranveer Singh delivered an emotional tribute to 26/11 hero Sadanand Date at the Global Peace Honours 2025, held on November 22nd. The event, which took place in Mumbai, honored the victims of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, the Pahalgam terror attack, and the recent Delhi blast.
Singh's tribute extended beyond Date to encompass all victims of these tragic events, as well as the brave Indian soldiers who defend the nation. He saluted the spirit and bravery of the soldiers and introduced Sadanand Date with a moving speech.
Sadanand Date was one of the first responders during the 26/11 attacks, facing terrorists Ajmal Kasab and Abu Ismail in the heat of the siege. Singh acknowledged Date's 35 years of service to the country and his contributions to establishing critical systems like QRTs and ATCs after the 26/11 attacks. He also highlighted Date's dedicated service across various organizations, including the Crime Branch, EOW, Force One, ATS, and NIA.
The Global Peace Honours 2025 brought together a host of Bollywood celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan, Suniel Shetty, Karisma Kapoor, Manisha Koirala, Rakul Preet Singh, and Anu Malik. Shah Rukh Khan also gave a heartfelt speech, paying tribute to the victims and saluting the security personnel martyred in the attacks. Khan recited lines dedicated to the soldiers, celebrating their courage and sacrifice.
The event also featured performances by Tiger Shroff. Two major awards, the National Valour Honour and Leadership Honour, were presented to individuals recognized for extraordinary courage and selfless service.
The Global Peace Honours 2025 was organized by the Divyaj Foundation, led by Amruta Fadnavis. The event served as a memorial and tribute to honor the heroes of the 26/11 terror attacks, as well as victims of the Pahalgam attacks and the Delhi blasts.
