Actress-model Mahieka Sharma Breaks Silence on Engagement Rumours with Cricketer Hardik Pandya: 'Me Watching the Internet Decide...'

Amidst swirling rumors of an engagement between actress-model Mahieka Sharma and Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya, Sharma has finally addressed the speculation with a touch of humor. The rumors began after fans spotted a prominent ring on Sharma's finger in recent photos shared by Pandya, leading to widespread speculation about a potential engagement.

Sharma took to Instagram to respond to the rumors, posting a picture of a black kitten wearing a pink wig. The caption read, "Me watching the internet decide I'm engaged when I just wear nice jewellery every day".

In a follow-up post, Sharma playfully addressed pregnancy rumors, sharing a picture of a man driving a toy car with the caption, "Wyd if I pull up in this to fight the pregnancy rumours". These humorous responses suggest that the couple is not yet engaged, and Sharma is taking the speculation in stride.

The engagement rumors gained momentum after Pandya shared a series of photos on Instagram, referring to Sharma, his son Agastya, and cricket as his "Big 3". The photos included glimpses of the couple together, including affectionate snapshots from a traditional puja ceremony. A video of the private puja ceremony, featuring traditional rites performed by priests, also went viral, further fueling speculation due to its intimate nature.

The photo that particularly caught the attention of fans showed Sharma wearing a diamond-like ring on her left hand during the home ritual, leading many to believe it was an engagement ring. However, according to Pt. Chandrashekhar Ji, the priest who conducted the ceremony, it was a Mangalwar puja intended to invoke good health, peace, and prosperity, not an engagement ceremony.

Pandya and Sharma officially confirmed their relationship in October 2025, weeks after dating rumors began to surface. Pandya shared photos on Instagram of the couple, including one of them cozying up in a swimming pool, referring to Sharma as his "11:11 wish". Prior to his relationship with Sharma, Pandya was rumored to be dating UK singer Jasmin Walia.

Pandya was previously married to Natasa Stanković, with whom he shares a son, Agastya. The couple announced their separation in 2024 after four years of marriage and have since been co-parenting their son.

On the cricket front, Pandya has been sidelined due to an injury sustained during the Asia Cup. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation and is expected to return to competitive cricket soon.
