Siddaramaiah Calls Delhi Meeting of MPs on December 8 Amid High Command Considerations.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is set to convene a meeting of all Members of Parliament (MPs) representing the state on December 8 in Delhi. The meeting aims to address state-related issues, including those concerning sugarcane and maize growers.

The Chief Minister's Office has not yet released a detailed agenda for the meeting, but it is expected to cover key developmental projects, financial concerns, and pending approvals from the central government. The meeting will provide a platform for MPs from various political parties to voice their concerns and work collectively to find solutions for the benefit of Karnataka.

The timing of the meeting coincides with the commencement of the winter session of the State legislature in Belagavi on December 8. It also follows closely after a breakfast meeting between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar at the latter's residence in Bengaluru. This was their second breakfast meeting in a week. These meetings are seen as an effort by the Congress party to project an image of unity amidst speculation of internal differences and leadership transitions.

Both Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar have publicly stated that they will abide by the decision of the party high command regarding any leadership changes in Karnataka. When questioned about a potential cabinet reshuffle, Siddaramaiah stated that the decision rests with the high command. Furthermore, both leaders have expressed their willingness to travel to Delhi if summoned by the Congress high command, including Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. "If high command calls, I will definitely go to meet them," said Siddaramaiah.

D.K. Shivakumar has downplayed speculation about groupism within the Congress government, emphasizing that he and Siddaramaiah are working together harmoniously. He attributed much of the speculation surrounding their meetings to media pressure.

The meeting of all-party MPs from Karnataka is significant as it seeks to address critical state issues in a unified manner. With the winter session of the state legislature and the ongoing discussions about potential leadership changes, the meeting in Delhi holds considerable importance for the political landscape of Karnataka.
