Pawan Singh Claims Bishnoi Gang Threat Due to Salman Khan Connection: Security Concerns Raised.

Mumbai, December 8, 2025 - Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh has filed a formal complaint with the Mumbai Police after receiving threats allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The threats reportedly began after Singh announced that he would be sharing the stage with Bollywood actor Salman Khan at the grand finale of "Bigg Boss 19".

According to reports, Singh received a series of alarming phone calls from individuals claiming to be associated with the Bishnoi gang. The callers warned him against appearing with Salman Khan and demanded a large sum of money. They threatened "serious consequences" if their demands were not met. The threats extended to members of Singh's team as well, who also received similar messages.

Pawan Singh's team has filed two separate complaints with the Mumbai Police, specifically with the Anti-Extortion Cell of the Mumbai Crime Branch. Police officials have confirmed that an investigation is underway to identify the source of the calls and ensure the actor's safety. The police are tracing the threatening messages, which originated from multiple unknown phone numbers with links to both Bihar and Mumbai. Given the interstate nature of the threats and the alleged gang involvement, the police are handling the case with heightened caution.

Despite the threats, Pawan Singh appeared at the "Bigg Boss 19" finale and performed alongside Salman Khan and former Bigg Boss contestant Neelam Giri.

This is not the first time that Salman Khan has been targeted by the Bishnoi gang. The gang's animosity towards Khan stems from the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, in which Khan was accused of hunting a protected animal considered sacred by the Bishnoi community in Rajasthan. Lawrence Bishnoi has repeatedly stated that Salman Khan must be held accountable for allegedly insulting their religion. In April 2024, the actor's residence in Mumbai was fired upon, further highlighting the ongoing threat.

Pawan Singh has been under heightened security since October 2025, when he was granted Y-category protection by the Ministry of Home Affairs following an Intelligence Bureau report indicating potential risks to his safety.

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has been implicated in other high-profile cases, including the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala and the killing of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique. Lawrence Bishnoi is currently imprisoned in Gujarat's Sabarmati Jail in connection with a drugs case. His younger brother, Anmol Bishnoi, is suspected of orchestrating the shooting at Salman Khan's residence and the murder of Sidhu Moosewala.
