PM Modi’s Message To BJP MPs: Win The South 'By Hearts And Votes'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Members of Parliament (MPs) to focus on winning the hearts and votes of the people in South India. This directive comes as the BJP looks to expand its influence in a region where it has historically had a limited presence.

Modi's call to action includes increasing the BJP's vote share in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, expressing confidence that both vote share and the number of seats will increase. He has also criticized the governments in the South, while addressing the perception of the BJP as a party of the upper caste.

The Prime Minister has also refuted claims that the Union government neglects the southern states, emphasizing equitable development for all regions. He has also attacked instances of corruption within cooperative banks in Kerala, promising decisive action against wrongdoers.

The BJP has seen some success in the South, including forming a government in Puducherry and winning parliamentary seats in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, where many South Indians reside. In 2008, the BJP won the state elections in Karnataka, marking the first time the party had won an assembly election in a South Indian state.

During a parliamentary discussion on election reforms, BJP MP Kangana Ranaut asserted that PM Modi wins elections because "he has hacked the hearts of the people," rather than manipulating voting systems. She criticized opposition members for disrupting parliamentary proceedings and questioned their claims of EVM tampering. Ranaut also accused the opposition of insulting women and defended the Modi government's initiatives aimed at empowering women.

The BJP's strategy involves reaching out to all segments of the population and addressing regional issues effectively. The party aims to dispel what it considers misconceptions about its ideology and demonstrate its commitment to inclusive growth and development across the nation.
