Preity Zinta has joined the chorus of Bollywood celebrities praising Aditya Dhar's latest film, "Dhurandhar," calling it "a love letter to every unknown man, woman, and patriot". The actress shared her enthusiastic review on social media after watching the film in a packed theater.
Zinta stated that "Dhurandhar" is "probably one of the best films I have seen in a long time". She specifically lauded Dhar's direction, describing it as "hard and yet, with so much heart". She also praised the film's "soulful and heart-thumping music".
"Dhurandhar," which was released on December 5, 2025, is reportedly inspired by real events linked to India's counter-terrorism operations in Pakistan in the late 2000s. The film stars Ranveer Singh as Hamza, an Indian operative tasked with infiltrating the network of Rehman Dakait, played by Akshaye Khanna. The film also features Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun.
Zinta commended the performances of the cast, calling them "flawless" and the film "raw and real". She expressed that the film's three-and-a-half-hour runtime "went by in a blink" and that she is "already ready to see it again". She further extended her congratulations to Aditya Dhar, promising to call him to express her feelings about the "masterpiece" in detail.
"This is not a film," Zinta wrote. "It's a love letter to every Unknown Man, Woman & Patriot who has stood in harm's way to protect our country".
"Dhurandhar" has been a box office success, earning over ₹400 crore in India and nearly ₹600 crore worldwide. The film is produced by Lokesh Dhar and is a collaboration between Jio Studios and B62 Studios. Aditya Dhar is known for directing the 2019 film "Uri: The Surgical Strike," which won him a National Award.
While the official OTT release date is yet to be announced, "Dhurandhar" will be available for streaming on Netflix after its theatrical run.
On the work front, Preity Zinta will be next seen in "Lahore 1947" alongside Sunny Deol.
