PM Modi's Reassurance: Standing Firmly with Uttar Pradesh BJP MPs, Offering Support and Guidance for Future Success.

New Delhi: In a recent meeting with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Members of Parliament from Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reportedly assured them of his unwavering support, stating, "I am strongly standing behind you." The meeting, held in the Prime Minister's Parliament chamber on December 12, 2025, aimed to encourage the MPs to continue their work with efficiency and ensure that the impact of their efforts reaches the public.

The Prime Minister's statement, "Ye majdoor aapke sath khada, aap bas kaam kariye (This labourer is standing with you, just keep working)," underscored his commitment to supporting the MPs in their endeavors. Modi has been holding daily meetings with NDA MPs from various states during the Winter Session of Parliament.

During the meeting, Modi emphasized the importance of utilizing technology to enhance their work and maintain an active presence on social media to improve public outreach. He also stressed the need for a more robust communication system to effectively disseminate information about the government's initiatives.

In what was described as a light-hearted moment, the Prime Minister drew comparisons between the ruling government and the opposition, specifically targeting the Congress party. He pointed out that the Congress tends to make promises and exhibit activity only in the lead-up to elections, whereas the current government consistently works throughout the year. However, he expressed concern that the government's schemes and initiatives are not always effectively communicated to the public.

The meeting took place a day after PM Modi hosted a dinner for NDA MPs at his residence. Following the dinner, he posted on X (formerly Twitter), praising the NDA for its shared dedication to good governance, national development, and regional aspirations. He affirmed that together, they would continue to strengthen the nation's development journey.

Sources present at the meeting indicated that the upcoming 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly election was also touched upon, although specific details of the discussion were not disclosed. In the 2024 general elections, the BJP-led NDA secured 36 seats in Uttar Pradesh. The BJP holds 33 of these seats, while the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) and the Apna Dal (Soneylal) have two and one seats, respectively.

The Prime Minister's remarks come amidst reports of a potential organizational reshuffle within the Uttar Pradesh BJP. Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, the current state president, recently held meetings with PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi. These meetings are considered significant in light of the anticipated reshuffle and evolving political dynamics in the state.
