Sparsh Shrivastava is making his Tollywood debut alongside Naga Chaitanya in the upcoming film Vrushakarma, tentatively titled NC24. The Laapataa Ladies actor described the experience as an "absolute treat" and praised the Telugu film industry's vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.
Shrivastava lauded director Karthik Dandu for fostering a creative environment, allowing him freedom to explore his role despite still learning the Telugu language. He mentioned that while learning Telugu is a challenge, it hasn't been a major hurdle during the filmmaking process. He expressed that he connects with the team, discusses the nuances of each take, and finds a way to "vibe" with them.
The Jamtara actor shared his positive experience working on the film. He said the Telugu film industry is warm, vibrant, and filled with positive energy. He also expressed his delight at being welcomed with open arms and "delicious food!".
NC24 is touted to be a genre-defining mythical thriller infused with mystery, emotion, and grand visuals. The film is directed by Karthik Dandu and produced by BVSN Prasad of Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra (SVCC), in association with Sukumar Writings, with Bapineedu presenting. The makers of NC24 welcomed Shrivastava, known for his role in Laapataa Ladies, for a crucial role. His addition is expected to bring a fresh energy and talent to the film. The team extended their wishes to Shrivastava, calling this a path-breaking role in his career.
Naga Chaitanya announced the film on his 38th birthday, generating excitement with the hashtag #NC24. He wrote on Instagram that he was excited to be part of Karthik's vision.
A first glimpse of the film, titled “NC24 – The Excavation Begins,” has already created a buzz, offering a glimpse into the film's scale and intense mood. The video received widespread acclaim for its gripping tone.
Shrivastava debuted with a television show as Kundan in Balika Vadhu and was also seen in Shake It Up when he was 11 years old. He gained recognition as a digital star after his web series Jamtara and Ae Watan Mere Watan became OTT hits. Shrivastava's role in Laapataa Ladies, directed by Kiran Rao and backed by Aamir Khan's production house, garnered him widespread praise.
Shamdat, the DOP for Uppena, MAD, Virupaksha, Thandel, and MAD 2, will handle the lens for NC24, and the music will be composed by Ajaneesh Loknath. The next shooting schedule is set to commence soon on a massively erected set in Hyderabad.
