Ameesha Patel Praises Dharmendra's Last Movie 'Ikkis' as a Heartfelt and Appropriate Farewell Film.

Ameesha Patel recently shared her heartfelt sentiments regarding Dharmendra's final film, Ikkis, describing it as a "fitting tribute" and an "endearing film". The special screening of the film, held on December 29, 2025, in Mumbai, was an emotional affair for Bollywood, serving as a tribute to the legendary actor who passed away on November 24, 2025.

Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan, is a war drama based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his bravery during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The film stars Agastya Nanda as Arun Khetarpal and Dharmendra as M.L. Khetarpal, Arun's father. The movie is scheduled to be released on January 1, 2026.

Ameesha Patel, who has a long-standing bond with the Deol family, attended the screening to watch Dharmendra on the big screen for the last time. She was seen spending time with Sunny and Bobby Deol, expressing her support and emotions.

The screening was attended by several other Bollywood celebrities, including Salman Khan, Rekha, Jeetendra, Tabu, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor. Many attendees were visibly moved by the film and paid tribute to Dharmendra's legacy. Rekha, in a particularly touching moment, blew a kiss towards Agastya Nanda's poster. Sunny Deol was seen posing with his father's poster from the film, appearing teary-eyed. Bobby Deol was also reportedly overcome with emotion after watching his father's performance.

Ikkis marks Agastya Nanda's debut in Bollywood. Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Agastya's mother, was present at the screening and expressed her pride and excitement.

The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films. The cast includes Jaideep Ahlawat, Shree Bishnoi, Ekavali Khanna, and Sikandar Kher. The music is composed by Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya.

Ikkis not only commemorates the bravery of Arun Khetarpal but also serves as a final farewell to Dharmendra, a beloved figure in Indian cinema. The film's release is highly anticipated, with many expecting it to be a fitting tribute to both the war hero and the legendary actor. A separate screening was also held in New Delhi, attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other dignitaries.
