Sai Pallavi and Junaid Khan's "Mere Raho To": Release Date Speculation and Latest Updates for July.

The Bollywood film Mere Raho, starring Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi, which was initially slated for a December 12, 2025, release, has been postponed to Summer 2026. The romantic drama is now expected to hit theaters in July 2026.

The decision to postpone the release was made by Aamir Khan, who is handling the film’s marketing and promotion. The reason behind the shift is to avoid a clash with other big releases in December and to give the film a better chance at the box office.

According to reports, December was a crowded month with several major films vying for audience attention. Dhurandhar was also set to release in December, and Aamir Khan had anticipated its potential impact. Additionally, another romantic comedy starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, was also scheduled for a December release.

A source stated that it made commercial sense to declutter the calendar and avoid overlap, especially at the distribution and exhibition level. Releasing in such a packed month would have created challenges for screen availability and audience attention.

Trade experts believe that July offers better legroom for a film like Mere Raho, as it allows the film to breathe without the noise that comes with festive and holiday rushes. A source added that a film like Mere Raho needs time, repeat value, and controlled screen density to perform well at the box office. The summer corridor allows the romantic drama to find its audience gradually without competing with larger commercial films during peak seasons.

Mere Raho is directed by Sunil Pandey and produced by Aamir Khan and Mansoor Khan. The film is a remake of the 2016 Thai film One Day. It features Junaid Khan as Rohan and Sai Pallavi as Nisha. The film was shot in Sapporo, Japan, against the backdrop of snowy landscapes and the Sapporo Snow Festival.

The film is described as an emotional romantic drama centered on two strangers whose lives are profoundly changed by one unforgettable day together. Rohan is in love with his colleague Nisha but lacks the courage to express his feelings. He finally gets his chance during a company trip and makes a wish to be with Nisha for just one day, which comes true.

Mere Raho marks Sai Pallavi's Bollywood debut. Junaid Khan made his acting debut with Maharaj on Netflix and Loveyapa in theaters this year. Sai Pallavi will also be seen playing Goddess Sita in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, scheduled for release on Diwali 2026.
