India is set to highlight its advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) by showcasing diverse case studies to global leaders at the upcoming Summit in New Delhi on February 19-20, 2026. This initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), aims to demonstrate India's growing influence in the global AI landscape.

The India AI Impact Summit 2026, a flagship global gathering hosted by the Government of India under the IndiaAI mission, in collaboration with MeitY, will convene policymakers, researchers, industry leaders, startups, civil society, and international organizations to shape the future of inclusive and impactful AI. The summit is anchored in the principles of People, Planet, and Progress, envisioning a future where AI advances humanity, fosters inclusive growth, and safeguards the planet.

MeitY has already released calls for proposals focused on priority areas such as education, agriculture, and assisting people with disabilities. A variety of academic institutions, startups, and non-profit organizations from across India will present these proposals. The presentations will demonstrate India's dual focus on global AI governance and grassroots innovation. The summit will also feature an impressive lineup of Indian AI pioneers and leaders of Indian origin.

The India AI Impact Expo 2026 for Responsible Intelligence will bring together over 300 exhibitors from India and 30+ countries across 10+ thematic pavilions.

The event will serve as a platform to advance India's leadership in ethical, inclusive, and innovation-led AI. The focus will be on AI skilling and talent development, AI infrastructure and innovation, responsible and ethical AI governance, generative AI rooted in India’s linguistic and cultural diversity, and AI for social good across healthcare, agriculture, and education.

The participation of Indian technology leaders in the Global AI Summit builds upon the strengthening ties between India and other nations in the technology sector. The "AI for All: Global Impact Challenge" strives to identify AI solutions that enable large-scale impact. The leading solutions will be showcased at the India AI Impact Summit.
