Switzerland initially took the lead early in the game. Just over three minutes into the first period, Leon Muggli capitalized on a power-play opportunity, putting Switzerland ahead 1-0. With the win, Czechia moves on to face Sweden in the semifinals. For Switzerland, the loss marks their elimination from the World Junior Championship.
