Ira Khan's Anniversary Reaction: Nupur Shikhare's Age Becomes the Punchline in Hilarious Social Media Post

Ira Khan, daughter of Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, and her husband Nupur Shikhare, a fitness trainer, celebrated their first wedding anniversary on January 3, 2025. To mark the occasion, Ira shared a series of playful and candid photos on her Instagram account.

The images captured the couple's joyful bond, featuring moments such as them sitting on a balcony exchanging smiles, Ira playfully kissing Nupur, and the two making funny faces at each other. In one picture, they are seen sitting back-to-back striking childlike poses. Nupur donned a black kurta-pyjama paired with a yellow jacket, while Ira wore a printed grey saree.

Ira captioned the post, "Happy Anniversary, my love (red heart emojis)". Nupur responded in the comments, expressing his love with red heart emojis and writing, "I love you". Fans and celebrities flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages and wishes for the couple.

Nupur also shared a video highlighting their bond and captioned it saying that this was his way of honoring her love and courage throughout their first year of marriage.

Ira and Nupur's wedding festivities in January 2024 were star-studded. They first had a registered marriage in Mumbai, followed by Christian rituals in Udaipur. The grand reception in Mumbai was graced by Bollywood luminaries, including Saira Banu, Dharmendra, Rekha, Jaya Bachchan, Hema Malini, Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Sushmita Sen, Katrina Kaif, and Esha Deol. Aamir Khan, along with his first wife Reena Dutta, son Junaid Khan, nephew Imran Khan, sister Nikhat Khan, and son Azad Rao Khan, were also present. Aamir's ex-wife Kiran Rao was absent due to illness.

Ira and Nupur met during the Covid-19 lockdown when Nupur was training Aamir Khan. They got engaged in November 2023 in a celebration with family and friends.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Ira addressed her parents' divorce, stating that she didn't inform her father about posting about it on Instagram. She added that when she told her parents about it, they were worried. She started medication in 2018, and could tell that both of them were extremely worried because they were going on their own fears and tangents.
