Kartik Aaryan's 'Tu Meri Main Tera' Wraps Up Theatrical Journey with Rs 32 Crore Collection.

Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday's romantic comedy, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, has concluded its theatrical run with a total domestic box office collection of approximately ₹32 crore. Released during the Christmas holiday season, the film struggled to maintain momentum, facing stiff competition from other releases, notably Dhurandhar.

The Sameer Vidwans-directed film opened with ₹7.75 crore and showed some initial growth, but it experienced a decline as the days progressed. By its 15th day, the movie only managed to earn ₹19 lakh, bringing its cumulative collection to ₹32.94 crore. The film has been struggling to cross the ₹33 crore mark for the last four days.

Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri faced challenges from the outset, with mixed reviews and audience reception impacting its performance. Some critics pointed out the lack of chemistry between the lead actors as a significant drawback. The film's release also coincided with the success of Dhurandhar, which continued its strong performance at the box office, overshadowing the Kartik Aaryan starrer.

In comparison, Ikkis, starring Agastya Nanda and Dharmendra, earned ₹25.60 crore. Meanwhile, Dhurandhar has collected ₹790.25 crore in India. Globally, Dhurandhar has become the highest-grossing Hindi film ever released in a single language.

The worldwide gross for Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri stands at ₹49 crore, including ₹39 crore (₹32.50 crore net) from the domestic market and ₹10 crore (USD 1.1 million) from international territories. The film has resulted in losses of nearly ₹100 crore for its makers.

The film's performance highlights the challenges faced by romantic comedies in the post-pandemic era, where audience preferences have shifted, and competition from other genres remains intense.
