Malayalam cinema is buzzing with excitement as megastar Mammootty and acclaimed director Adoor Gopalakrishnan are set to collaborate once again after a gap of over three decades. Their new project is titled "Padayaatra," and the announcement has sent waves of anticipation among film enthusiasts.
The title poster of "Padayaatra" was released recently, creating a buzz on social media. The film marks the eighth production under Mammootty's own banner, Mammootty Company. This venture signifies a reunion of two cinematic giants known for their previous collaborations in films like "Anantaram," "Vidheyan," and "Mathilukal".
The film's pooja ceremony was held today. Besides direction, Adoor Gopalakrishnan has also penned the story, screenplay, and dialogues in collaboration with KV Mohan Kumar. The cinematography is handled by Shehnad Jalal, while Praveen Prabhakar is in charge of editing. Shaji Naduvil is the art director, and the music is composed by Mujeeb Majeed.
The crew includes Meera Sahib as the chief associate director, George Sebastian as the production co-ordinator, Sunil Singh as the production supervisor, and Binu Manampoor as the production controller. The makeup will be managed by Ronex Xavier and George Sebastian, with SB Satheesan handling the costumes. The sound mixing will be done by Kishan Mohan of Saptha Records, and Naveen Murali will be the stills photographer. Vishnu Sugathan is responsible for publicity, and Ashif Salim is the advertisement designer.
While details about the plot are still under wraps, it is known that Mammootty will be playing a character with shades of villainy. The cast includes Indrans and Grace Antony.
