PM Modi Urges New Government Recruits to Eliminate Public Grievances Faced in Government Offices and Services.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed 61,000 newly recruited individuals on Saturday at the 18th Rozgar Mela, urging them to address the issues citizens face in government offices. The Rozgar Mela was held at 45 locations across the country.

During the virtual address, Modi described the appointment letters as "invitations to nation-building" and pledges to accelerate the creation of a developed India. He reminded the recruits of their duty towards the Constitution. Modi emphasized that connecting youth with skills and providing employment opportunities has been a priority for his government. He noted many of the recruits would strengthen national security, empower education and healthcare, reinforce financial services and energy security, and contribute to public sector growth.

The Prime Minister highlighted India's status as one of the youngest nations in the world, emphasizing the government's continuous efforts to create new opportunities for the country's youth both domestically and abroad. He mentioned trade and mobility agreements with several countries, opening new avenues for Indian youth. Modi also noted that India has doubled its GDP in a decade, attracting more than two-and-a-half times higher FDI compared to the period before 2014.

Modi highlighted that the Rozgar Mela has become an institution through which lakhs of youth have received appointment letters across various government departments. Since its inception, the Rozgar Mela initiative has issued over 11 lakh recruitment letters nationwide, demonstrating the government's ongoing commitment to providing employment opportunities for India's youth.

The newly recruited candidates will be joining various central ministries and departments, including the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, the Department of Financial Services, and the Department of Higher Education. The new appointees will also undergo structured training through 'Karmayogi Prarambh', an online program.

The Prime Minister highlighted women's participation, noting that over 8,000 women received appointment letters at the event. He said women's workforce participation has nearly doubled in the past 11 years, with schemes like Mudra and Startup India boosting female entrepreneurship.

Modi concluded by emphasizing reforms in GST and labor codes, which have benefitted youth entrepreneurs, MSMEs, and workers by expanding social security. He described the letters as a "sankalp patra" to accelerate India to new heights and stated that the new recruits, along with their colleagues, will improve the country's defense, strengthen healthcare and the education system, and enhance energy security.
